After using Sage for some time, it became clear that as the business moved forward we would need a more industry specific software package to meet our needs. Since installing Merlin in 2006, we as a company have gone from strength to strength and believe that Merlin Business Software has certainly contributed to our success.
As soon as Merlin went live, we were able to take immediate advantage of a number of features like the instant visibility of our customers’ spend profiles. Now we can see straight away what they have been buying, but more importantly, what they have stopped buying. The instant “Gap-sales” screen allows us to prompt the customer whilst entering their order for items they’ve had before but haven’t ordered today. Reporting on Sales and Stock has also never been so simple for us, as there is either a standard report that fits the bill or a special report can be put together using the Merlin Report Generator or by exporting it to Excel! We’re delighted with Merlin; if it hasn’t met our expectations it has surpassed them.
